What is the Clip-in hair extensions?

Clip-in hair extensions come in a strand of contoured pieces, attached at the base with either fabric or silicone. They are the least permanent style of extensions because you can quickly remove them and put them back on whenever you want. Clip-In hair extensions are easily affixed and can be perfectly matched and blended with your own hair to create length, emphasize volume, or even to add highlights to your natural hair.

Remy Clip-in extensions or Non-remy Clip-in extensions

Like other types of hair, there are Remy Clip-in hair and Non-Remy Clip-in hair.

remy clip-in hair is a smoother, shinier, and healthier appearance than non-remy. This hair feels amazing even after multiple times being washed. Most of our clients can get a year or two of wear with remy hair still looking great. The investment is great but well worth it.

Remy is hair collected and sorted from various sources with the root and tip traveling in the same direction to ensure the cuticle does not tangle or matte. The cuticles are not stripped and remain aligned in one direction.

Remy hair is more expensive and looks more natural due to the tedious process that the hair goes through to not damage the cuticle. Usually virgin hair or hair that has been minimally processed to protect the integrity of the hair has cuticle in tact.

Non-remy is hair that does not have it’s roots aligned. That is the reasons why the Non-Remy hair is less expensive than Remy hair. Since the cuticle runs in both directions it requires a higher concentration of acid. Eventually resulting in hair with very low moisture, leading to dry straw-like hair.

Install the Clip-In Hair Extensions

Clip in hair extensions are so easy to install, tools aren’t even required.  Simply use your fingers to part your hair horizontally starting near the base of your neck.  Open the clip on one of the shorter clip weave pieces and push the combs into your hair at the roots, near the base of your scalp.  If you have fine or thin hair, tease your natural hair a bit for a more secure hold.  Once the combs are pushed securely into your natural hair, push the clip closed, a click will confirm that it was closed.  Part another section of your hair about one inch above that piece of clip weave and comb the hair overtop to blend.  Select another piece, being sure it is not wider than the area on which you are working.  Repeat the parting and clipping process.  Some heads may require all ten pieces to create a flawless full look whereas others may only need a few wefts added in the back.  You can also use the clip weave pieces to create a bang in the front of you head.

Once you’ve installed the amount of clip ins you desire, you can either comb all of your hair straight down to rock a long sleek style, add waves or spirals with a curling wand, or even take some of the length off to create an edgy cut.

Remove the Clip-In Hair Extensions

Secure your hair in one hand, gently lift and slide the clip hair extension out of the hair. When doing this, be attentive to any pull on your scalp. If you feel that you are pulling on the hair too much, stop and begin detangling it a bit more. This will assist you to avoid losing any hair. During the removal process, press your thumbs down and apply pressure outward with the index fingers. The clip should snap open with ease. If there is more than a single clip-in one section, you will need to open all the clips before you pull out the extensions for the section.

Painless and pretty, clip in hair extensions are awesome! Great clip-in hair extensions are an investment, and you'll want to be able to use them on more than one occasion. They are the perfect types of hair extensions esspecially you are the beginner who is looking for suitable hair extensions or keen on having a longer hair with the safe method.
